shakuhachi
Riley Lee has studied the shakuhachi since 1970. He has performed internationally with traditional Japanese musicians, major symphony orchestras and dance companies worldwide, and with many other musicians. A PhD in Musicology, he has produced 51 recordings of solo shakuhachi music and collaborations, notably with the harp, cello, voice, guitar, didgeridoo, sitar, and tabla.

James Coates is an actor, musician and orator. In 1999 he created the Brisbane based group Khidir, who perform the poetry of the Sufi mystics Rumi and Hafez accompanied by the classical instruments of the Persian court. They have appeared at The Adelaide Festival, The Woodford Folk Festival, The Sacred Music Festival and numerous other events.
tenzin choegyal

Tibetan singer and musician Tenzin Choegyal has brought his unique and threatened culture into the lives of countless people at concerts and festivals around the country since his emigration to Australia in 1997. Born in exile in northern India, Tenzin has studied and taught at the Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts (TIPA) in Dharamsala, India. He has also toured as a solo and collaborating musician throughout New Zealand and India.
michael askill

Performer and composer Michael Askill recently directed a concert tribute to HH Dalai Lama at the Concert Hall, Sydney Opera House. He has composed ballet scores for Graeme Murphy and Meryl Tankard, and is the Artistic Director of Synergy Percussion.
